About Us

In 2003, some practice managers aiming to establish thriving dermatology practices, established  the Dermatology Managers Association of Georgia (DMA/GA). Over time, the organization's growth has drawn attendees from multiple states to the annual meetings, leading to the rebranding of the association as Dermatology Managers Association (DMA).

Purpose

The purpose of DMA is to promote the development of Dermatology practice managers through continuing education, progressive business practices and professional networking avenues. As DMA has grown, the same opportunities are also extended to Aesthetic practice managers and continuing learning tracks are promoted for all staff members of Dermatology and Aesthetic environments.

Conferences

The Annual Conferences serve as opportunities for learning, networking, and building relationships with peer practices and numerous sponsors. The conference offers three simultaneous educational tracks over one and a half days:

  • Designed for Managers, Administrators, Providers, and Key Personnel
  • Tailored for Laser Practitioners, Aestheticians, Cosmetic Care Coordinators, and Aesthetic Staff Members
  • and,Geared towards Front and Back Office staff, including Insurance and Billing Departments

The objectives are aimed at enhancing the success of both managers and staff. This event acts as a platform for sharing knowledge and exchanging information to address real challenges within Dermatology and Aesthetic practices. Participants can earn continuing education units and laser practitioner certificates from programs delivered by industry experts and prominent speakers.

Board of Directors

The Board of Directors also functions as the officers of the organization. Numerous volunteers play a crucial role in ensuring the success of our Annual Conferences by assisting in the execution of all the necessary plans to achieve DMA's objectives. DMA operates as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, scheduling meetings based on the requests and requirements of its members.
